The Studio
The Good Florist is a floral design studio working across the UK and beyond. Known for unconventional, conceptual work and nuanced colour palettes, we create designs that feel immersive, atmospheric and deeply connected to place.Each project is distinct — bold or restrained, romantic or sculptural — yet always grounded in seasonality and quiet confidence.
We work in close collaboration with couples, planners and brands to create one-of-a-kind celebrations.Influenced by landscape and architecture, our designs respond to their surroundings — never imposed, always belonging. We take on a limited number of events each year, allowing us to offer an uncompromised, highly attuned service from first conversation to final installation.
Our Founder
The Good Florist was established in 2012 by Roberta Emmott. With a background in garden design, her work is shaped by seasonality and the natural rhythm of the landscape. Roberta leads each project personally, guiding every concept from its earliest idea to final installation. For her, flowers are not decoration — they are emotion, architecture, and memory held in form.
Our Approach
We design intuitively, in conversation with landscape and architecture. Working closely with couples, planners and brands, we create immersive floral environments that feel as though they belong entirely to their setting. We take on only a small number of celebrations each year. This allows space — for depth of thought, for collaboration, for the kind of detail that transforms something beautiful into something unforgettable.

Our work begins with respect — for the land, for the growers, for the seasons that make each stem possible. We design without floral foam. Without single-use plastics. Without waste as an afterthought. Mechanics are reused. Vessels are repurposed. Flowers are sourced as locally and seasonally as possible, chosen for their vitality and integrity. We value long-standing relationships with growers and suppliers who share our belief in working thoughtfully and responsibly. Sustainability is not a statement we add to our work it is woven quietly into every decision we make.
