Case study - Tulip & Cactus

Two weeks following the September Career Change Course, Jenna launched her own website Tulip and Cactus. She immediately had two wedding enquiries, and within two months had filled two Christmas wreath courses, went live with her Instagram and very quickly started to pick up followers.

Very soon after the course, she also organised a photo shoot, which sparked lots of interest and struck up a relationship with a local flower grower.

She really did hit the ground running! You need positive energy to work in the wedding industry, and Jenna definitely has it.

It’s been such a joy to see Jenna start her business. Just before Christmas, only a few months after the course, she quit her job to focus on building her brand.

On the course, we talk about realistic expectations in the first year, and she has sensibly opted for a causal part time job to keep her ticking over without financial pressure.

It’s been wonderful for us to play a part in her flowery journey and we can’t wait to see what the coming year has in store for her.

In her words:

“Ahh I’m missing you and being down there so much. I’m doing at least one things each day to take steps in the right direction. At the weekend, I went to an amazing local grower and bought lots of stems to make a few bouquets. I cleared my garage out and made it into a floristry workshop and I’ve got a venue booked for my wreath workshop in December. And I went for a coffee with a bride in my lunch break and she’s going to transfer the depots this evening!

I’m so full of creativity and motivation right now, all because of you. Thank you so much.”
